I think that Holly was too gung ho for the sujperhero thing... I hated the fact that Holly told that brat about the costume... she wasn't really her daughter to start with.... I feel that there has to be some aprehension when a newbie is using a superpoered suit in the start... I would rather see pamela in the suit as she does have a strong moral character and does things to help people every single day. I think that she understood what Ralph went through with the suit and would have been great to see her try her chops in the suit... If I am not mistaken, there was talk about her getting a costume of her own, but she was recovering from the birth of her baby. Still would have been nice to see something like that... I think it would have been cool to see it in a dream even.... According to Connie in the interview, she suggested the idea, but she was pregnant at the time or recovering from it that Cannell basically said no. There was a lot of potential for humor, and there are a couple of stories: "California Nights" by Lone Wolfette and "The Ole Scenario Switcharoo" written by me (as TigreMalabarista) that do post that what-if scenario. I think just about any woman could beat Holly as far as wearing the suit, but between the two... they should've found a way where the suit was either handed over to Pam (even if it meant wait a year of so because Connie was in "Hotel" and Katt in "Perry Mason" movie) or to a woman would could act.

Personally, I actually can't see Pam wearing the suit at all, except as a joke (costume) or as a freak accident.
I would prefer her over Holly, but I don't think it was really right for her. In my opinion, she wasn't the kind of person who was out to save the world, even if she did some good things in her life, and in her career. Even though she was a good person, I think a few episodes made me think she wouldn't have done well with it.
My thoughts on this are actually based on really just one episode. The whole The One The Suit was Made For episode made me think that the suit would not be right for her. The whole point was about making sacrifices, and there were times when it was hard for her. Sure, it was hard for Ralph too, but if you remember, he agonized over choosing the suit over Pam, but knew he had to. I am not sure if Pam would have made that same choice.
Now don't get me wrong. She's good troops. She is a good person. She doesn't want to just sit back. She's strong and independent. But I can't see her with the suit.
Now, if she was ACLU, or specialized in environmental law, maybe. Or international law... certainly. Then I could see it a lot more. Sorry, but she specialized in divorces, or corporate law, or other things (depending on the episode you reference). Not suit class scenarios, in my opinion. (Well, maybe the corporate law, but that's another thing...)
Then again, I do not really like the idea of passing the suit on to anyone. I think that was one of the [many] problems with Heroine. The whole point was that the suit only worked on Ralph. Now, certainly the green guys had powers, and perhaps could change who it worked on, but then why go through the trouble of making a new one for Ralph when JJ's could have been retrofitted. And why not just choose a new team? Why let Ralph choose? After all, if he messed up, why let him choose?
Eck....Why do I even think about it? Why do I even ponder the whole Holly thing. To me, she was a nightmare. A Green Guy's version of April Fools Day. It was a non-entity. As far as I am concerned, Ralph never lost the suit, and he is still fighting crim in LA. Bill phones it in more now, but there was no Holly.
That whole episode was awful. I like cheesy episodes. I LOVE cheese and schlock and bad special effects and camp. But this episode... eck...

The only thing I can think of with them not retrofitting J.J. Beck's was that he used it for evil and the suit might have been corrupted to the point of being unrepairable. Ralph's case, he had an ego problem, but save the bit on "SNL," we don't know if it was, so it was easily repairable. (I won't go on in detail about letting Ralph choose either, as it's another reason why the ep can be argued the way I use it in my series).
But, I do think if Pam had to wear the suit, even if it was only while Ralph was incapacitated or something, she would try her best to help out others. The story I wrote with her in the suit gave her a taste of Ralph's life, and in a way, based on ones I've written since, she's more respectful of what he does. (not always, though, i.e. "The Bet" and "The Ghost of Hotel Doom," both of which she has fun at Ralph's expense.)

That's one thing I still don't understand between Don't Mess Around With Jim and Heroine. . .Ralph had been WARNED by J.J. Beck--you would think the writers would remember that--but yet (and we have Greyhosky the Hack to blame for that) they wrote Ralph as using the suit for personal gain after he was found out. If you ask me, that was a lazy and lousy way to go. Ralph also scolded Bill several times in several episodes for wanting to use the suit for personal gain, and I absolutely hate it when writers do not write the characters to "practice what they preach". Also, where was Bill while all this crap was happening?!?! Obviously not around. I don't think he would have let Ralph brush him off to be ABLE to go and do SNL and brag about being a hero, etcetera.
