Good luck, S. Hope you don't really have to evacuate.

I hope not either. . .I don't want to leave. I mean, I don't want to stay for the storm, either, since we have trees in our back yard. I don't want to come home and see a tree on top of the house. . .or worse yet, on top of my car.

I also don't want to not have the ability to talk to everyone here. . .

I remember Chantel back in '87. We had a tree that bent down almost to the ground, but once it was over, it sprung back up. Odd thing too, out of all our trees... it was the only one not to lose a limb. Fortunately, I wasn't close to where Rita hit last year nor Katrina. My thoughts are still for those who are dealing with the damages since. It's a scary thing to deal with once in a lifetime, let alone several times. I've been through just about everything: Hurricane, drought, tornado, blizzard, flood, dust storms, earthquakes, even an explosion, but hurricane probably ranks worst because it's very unpredictable. And, I'm guessing in my longwinded Texas drawl same as Tom. Good luck and I'll be thinking about you guys.

Good luck... my brother lives in the Keys, and they are right in the path, I think.
What awful stuff. Stay safe.

Thanks, you guys. Whether we go or stay, I'll be thinking of you all while it's going on.
