After reading a summary of "The Greatest American Hero" on a sci-fi shows board (which wins for the most glaring errors I've ever seen for the show), it had a list of the actors and stuff they've done since (which, BTW, apparently the person hasn't even heard of "Carrie" which Katt is definitely known for other than Ralph. )
Anyway, when it got down to Connie's name, it mentioned she was in a series called "Beyond Westworld." Having seen the movie "Westworld" and the second one "Futureworld" (which isn't nearly as good) I wondered if the series had anything to do with the movies. Apparently, it did, which might've been its downfall. It only lasted five episodes, two of which weren't aired.
For those who haven't seen "Westworld," it's a movie about a special amusement park where people interact with robots and can fulfill any fantasy they want to. However... there is a quirk in the programming and the robots start to kill people. Eventually, they escape and that section gets shut down. "Futureworld" pretty much has two news reporters covering that section of the park, as "Westworld" is closed off. Unfortunately, there's some bad guys who are creating robot clones of high-level officials (who are at the park) to return to the real world and do whatever the bad guys want. It's thwarted when the reporters escape.
In "Beyond Westworld," Connie plays a Pam Williams, who is helping to stop a mad creator, Simon Quaid, who took his creation of special robots beyond Westworld. DELOS, builders of Westworld, must stop Quaid. Assigned is Security Chief John Moore and Special Agent Pam Williams.
IMDB said it has been aired on the Sci-Fi network, so I wonder if anyone has seen the stories. I'm going to keep an eye out for them, as it might not be bad. Then again... I said that and I was upset they downplayed Yul Brynner's role as the Gunslinger in "Futureworld." While he might not have liked it long term, Brynner played one heck of a good heavy. "Futureworld" has him as the same character, but in a more romantic role.
OK... I digressed there. It did mention one aspect for the guys... apparently the Pam wears a swimsuit in one ep and is a cheerleader in another one. Whether or not it's the character and not a robot is yet to be seen.
So, has anyone seen this?
