This may not be one of the overall great episodes of the series...most people would probably not even have it in their top five or ten...but I think it may be the BEST Pam episode ever. I will explain why later, but I wanted that to sink in and give people a chance to watch it again before I posted on this topic. Think about it.

First, Pam is getting a lot more fieldwork. At first, she helps Bill bust the bad guys by calling for the ambulance and such. She is also running the communicator to have Ralph vector them in to the bad guys. That is just in the first few minutes. Flash forward to later and she is OF COURSE getting hit on by guys at Ralph's school. Who wouldn't be hitting on her if they had a beating heart? Of course, THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS EPISODE: Miss Red Cross. She is HOT and an active part of the team...coming up with scenarios and working over Bill to be back-up for her and Ralph. She did great at getting inside. Granted, it was obvious she was on the communicator, but like the bad guy...I would be looking elsewhere. She also has a much better gun scene. Remember in the pilot and DIVORCE, she was edgy around them, but when she picks up one from the bad guy, Miss Red Cross looks experienced. Even though this is a great episode, there is one major detraction: Pam is jealous AGAIN...and Wendy is NOT beautiful...not over Pam. I hate that consistent jealousy aspect of Pam. Otherwise, great episode!!! Maybe the all-time Pam best.

Trivia: Did anyone notice that Pam is no longer with Carter, Bailey, and Smith? She mentions her new law firm. It is Selquist, Allan, and Minor. She must be moving on up.

One inconsistency about this episode for me: Ralph is 28ish obviously if he is going to his ten-year class reunion. But Pam says she has not had one. How old is she? If she is THAT young, she has been a lawyer for three years already...and a junior partner...she must have been like me. College in two and a half years...law school (grad school for me) in two years and then in the job force. Odd tidbit.

Only thing I can think of is Pam's possibly 26 or just turned 27. The only other possibility is that Pam skipped a few grades and graduated early. Both are possible.

I think she is smart enough to jump out ahead of the pack too. I considered that she might be right around the corner from her own reunion, but it sounded like she was years away to hear her talk...maybe all women are like that.

Well, considering my 10th's next year, I'm more surprised at how fast 10 years has gone by (even 5 for college, and hence probably why I'm trying to save up for my class ring). And, like Ralph, I've realized songs such as the Macarena, Get Ready for This, etc., are considered "classics" by some kids, but they were around my senior year in high school. It's also almost 10 years since our school had a volleyball team go to state, it's been almost 9 years since we won our last state championship football title (7 since appearing at state, silver that year), even 10 years since I wore that darn silver unitard with the blue and white skirt. It really doesn't hit you until you realize those things.

I guess I don't think about it much. I have done so much in the past seven years that it feels like I should have my ten year reunion twenty years ago. You'll have to tell us how it goes...pictures, stories of old flames, rediscovering the bleachers and the soft spot underneath them.

Of course, as we all know, the BEST thing about the episode THE PRICE IS RIGHT: [ ] Pam: Hi, I'm Miss Red Cross. You wanna drain some of that blood fillin' up your face for a worthy cause? WHAT A GREAT SALESLADY!!!!!!!!!!

I have to admit, Pam's bit as the Red Cross lady is one of the best scenes in the episode. Gets to be a part of the action and ironically contradict herself in that regard (using sexual prowess to get what she wants, but only temporarily ).

Not using sexual prowess per se, but realizing the manner of person she is up against and then using her intelligence to realize that only SHE can do it properly.

I think another funny scene was both Pam and Bill gettign upset with Ralph for showing off in the suit (kicking the football into outerspace then causing it to blow up). They both were like "Ralph, you can't use the suit for personal gain." The looks were priceless, and it was fun just to watch the episode. I also like how Pam also tells Bill off as best as she could having to ride around in the purple limo with the champagne fountain deciding to work. It'd been funny to see her argue with Bill and the guy practically get knocked over by the fumes from the alcohol on her clothes. He'd earned that.

Trivia: Did anyone notice that Pam is no longer with Carter, Bailey, and Smith? She mentions her new law firm. It is Selquist, Allan, and Minor. She must be moving on up. Would YOU still want to work for a man who was a criminal and nearly got YOU killed? I'd have gotten the heck outta Dodge, too. As for this episode (which I watched yesterday) I think it's pretty average. You do see Pam doing her part (HOORAY) and she puts up a fight about being part of the team and actually wins this time (something that was lacking in DVS--she only played referee for the most part with exception to the hot dog bit and the guns. Aside from that she didn't do much. But I digress). And for once she wasn't the damsel in distress--Wendy was. You have to wonder if she wasn't just the slightest bit jealous of Wendy in the beginning (hidden by the "I'm just teasing you" facade) but she was good at the end when they saved her. A pretty good episode overall.
