There comes that day once a year, whether it is for the most vocal member or the shyest of moderators, where it is your day to bask in the glory of survival...to show others that you are here to post another day...to say that the world did not beat you and so on and so forth. That is what this board is for: The recognition of that glorious day that most of us refer to as our "birthday." Miss D and I will do our best to inform everyone that you are even more special than normal on this day and do our best to make it as happy as possible. Noting this, if you have special requests such as screencaps, stories, poems, etc., let us know and we (along with our fellow members) will do our best. (Nothing crazy like asking for Bill or Ralph on your doorsteps, but you get the idea). After all, if we can all rally to send our beloved Pam a momento on her special day, then we can do the same around one of our own. Of course if you are too shy to state your wish, you can always PM a moderator. As a matter of simplicity, we will sticky this thread to the top. Please keep all comments relative to a person's birthday and their gift. We DO have other sections for idle small talk. Enjoy...and be thinking about what you want when you blow the candles out.

Oh, Ok, I'll bite.
Since I can't have Bill in the flesh, around my birthday, I would like a birthday card sent to me from Bill... of course, since that's not possible, I would get a chuckle out of people sending me what they think Bill would write to Josie on a birthday card, and what he would send Josie if he could.
For example: "Hey Kid, I talked it over with my supervisor, and he said that the bureau would be willing to spring for your rehab at Betty Ford. Happy Birthday, kiddo!"
or
"Hey, Josie, here's a new tail. Sorry I ruined the other one."
I would get a chuckle out of that...
Cheers!

As for mine, as it's about 30 days from now, a couple of funny screencaps with Ralph et. al. and just a simple happy birthday. I don't ask for much, as for me simplicity is the best as far as this stuff's considered.

Holy Guacamole! Looky all those Libras! I'm a Virgo and a Horse, so I'm not quite sure I follow (unless there's a lot of birthdays that fall under Libra. ) The scales in my avatar are ones I drew a few months back when I drew the Davidson devotee/disciple icons for HD. I drew them and the gavels from scratch, and have done most of the free hand Davidson art in the avatars thread. I think I might icon the pencil drawing of the scales too as it looks pretty cool. (the one I have is the crayon version).

I love mine as far as a horse ('78): Born under the sign of the horse, you are a stylish achiever, a determined ally, and a trustworthy associate. Honest horse, these qualities are yours: Vulnerable in friendship, reliable in business, patient craftsperson, forgiving partner, untiring porovider, irrepressible humorist, unbrilded passion. I'm also quick to temper apparently too. Pretty ironic huh, HD?

I'd like to whole-heartedly apologize to everyone I missed in the past month or two. I would also like to thank everyone for their understanding while I was away; my aunt passed away from cancer on Memorial day morning. I hope to once again get this board running.

We all understand. Glad to have you back some.
