I don't like Pam's role in this. She was mainly the voodoo fodder. She had great legal work though...and showed the local cops the what for of international law. Even Bill was glad she was there...mentioned it TWICE to calm Ralph down. I also loved her lion tamer act with the chair when the kids came back in that night. Great look for her. Otherwise, the episode was bad and her role not great. She played it well, especially the fevered haze of the voodoo...but she could do better with comedy I think.

Loved her outfit on the block though. Only she could make being a sacrifice so hot.

I know. At least she got to come to the rescue of the boys before someone in prison made them their you know whats. She can chalk this episode up to "having a chance" anyway.

Wow, I have to completely disagree with you on this one. I actually thought this was a really good episode, and not just because of the RC open shirt.
I really liked Pam here. The boys wanted her off the island, but she really came through. I think that shows a lot of guts. I also like that she took care of the kids. I don't mean it in a she's-just-being-the-mom-figure way. She really saw that this was bad news, and tried to get them off the island.
Sure, she got a little hysterical a few times, but believe me, even the toughest of the tough would get spooked by this sort of stuff.
This was probably one of the better episodes of the series, in my opinion. The way I often judge is whether the script could hold up as a pure drama without the suit. Maybe it's a weird way to judge, since the suit is one of the main points of the show (next to ideas of friendship, loyalty, etc). But it's my thing. I think this episode could hold up. Lilacs could also, although... grrrr... we know how I feel about that one..

I think Pam was great here too. I just think that we didn't get to see her show how great she could have been. After all, she has gone against the wishes of the guys before and stayed put, sometimes helping, sometimes just to be a part of the team. Plus, she is usually the one that helps get the kids out of harm's way. Not that there is anything wrong with that...just that she is never really the center of the action unless she is the damsel in distress as we later see in this episode. The only reason I see this as a good Pam episode overall is that she DID flex her law skills...even though the writ was useless, she had put up a case. I would have liked to see her argue it, but then it would have been more CourtTV.

My turn. I like the episode, and it makes for a darker side for the show. I thought it was good to show that Ralph could possibly use the suit for revenge, as you see him keep fighting the bad guys even though Bill tells him to cool down. This was just because the voodoo group wanted to kill Pam and the kids.
Pam doesn't do as much as she could've but I do think she did a great job overall. She, along with the others, kept it very believable as a voodoo story could be seen as rather kitsch and silly. They've tried it before in other shows, but it's usually voodoo dolls making people do silly things or turn into dogs. Connie did an excellent job showing the fear as far as the dark side of voodoo.
Took a while, and I had been wondering why Connie didn't look like she normally did (photos seemed odd to me), she's got bangs in the episode. Most of the time she doesn't or very few show on her forehead. This one she's got a lot more showing. Gives her a different look.
