Upon watching THE SHOCK WILL KILL YOU again, I can say that this is NOT her worst episode overall.

At least she made it watchable. It's pretty bad.

I agree that the concept was horrible and there were plot holes you could drive a truck through, but at least there were some great character moments...especially fear, which they all portrayed really well I think.

Yeah but a lot of it was laughable too. And overkill of a catchphrase, which when it didn't work *WONDER WHY* later went to another Cannell character also with initials of RH.

That one I have no idea on. I really only cared for GAH and the A-TEAM...although THE ROCKFORD FILES aren't bad. What catchphrase and person came later?

Oh...been a long time. It was on when I was little... so I bet I get called grandma again. (But, I'm not a fan of "Hunter." Like "Rockford," "GAH," and "A-Team" a lot more, as well a "Renegade," though it's been years since I've watched it.) Scary thing is, at the Six Flags I work at, there's a radio station there and has publicity photos of TV shows and movies, all pre-1990s, and most whose start was before the '80s. I can name all of them: Star Wars, Grease, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Happy Days, The Beverly Hillbillies, Gilligan's Island, Mork and Mindy, Barney Miller, Welcome Back Kotter. Will say though, it made one Toon's day, and he called me old too. (the old walking cane joke.) As far as Pam's worst effort, IMHO... "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll," because they made her a teenybopper in that one. It was out of character for her, as she doesn't seem to be the type to act that way. I will admit, it's a favorite from season three, but I didn't like Pam's characterization in it though.

I am going through and watching them, so I will keep you updated on my preference for worst episode, but it has to be a third season one I think. Her second season performances were great...even if the episode sucked.

So far, I haven't really seen a HORRIBLE Pam episode. I have seen horrible episodes and some where Pam was not her usual self, but none to make me wretch yet. Although, DIVORCE had moments of it...until she got to play the weiner lady.

Another poor effort, I think is "Desparado," more because she is taking photos with a lens over the camera. What makes this a bad moment is that you can't see what you are shooting if the camera lens is covered with that particular style of camera. Tested this one time by putting my hand infront of the iris while looking through the viewer. Sure enough, I saw my hand covering it.
I had a camera like it in college and learned it first hand. At worst, she'd had it where the apreature was wide open, which would allow you to see out the lens but the film would've been overexposed. Makes Pam look real dumb.

That is probably my MAJOR gripe about DESPERADO, although some of my other comments have been very positive about the episode and her in it. It is that one OVERSHADOWING moment that makes it a bad episode...I would say more mediocre than one of the worst.

Sad thing is, out of the four that didn't air in the original run, it's the strongest one, then "It's only rock and roll," IMO (though Pam does act schoolgirly there.) The other two really are bad, and Pam really gets hit bad there.
