I have to say that the best thing about this episode is the amazing amount of screen time we don't have to stare at Katt's ugly mug. The episode is weak, but it does give us the new suit power of invisibility, which of course, affects Pam the most as Ralph is supposed to go to dinner to meet her parents. It makes him look like a REAL flake that he can't meet up with them and that he could not stop by his house before dinner to get the wallet to give Pam the money to pay for dinner. The cheapskate. Of course, Pam tries to be understanding when he calls from the car with Bill...which he is not exactly honest again as to where he is going or why...which sets another nasty series precedent where Pam is the victim. Pam is great with her parents and that scene is very real...defending Ralph to her father at all costs...showing us how she is in love with Ralph, misguided though it may be. The best thing about this episode since Pam was again not part of the action...is the see-through blouse Pam is wearing in the hardware shop showing her folks around. I owe credit to Burger Alert Boy on another message board for seeing this, but once you notice it, it IS obvious. What do you all think of the episode?

What I like about the story is the thing you panned: Katt's screentime is diminished. Now, before Miss D wonders if I've been hit in the head, let me explain. It shows how the suit can affect not only Ralph's life but Pam's as well. She has to defend Ralph and show that there's someone who cares for her. It makes her a stronger character too, especially in an ep she doesn't do too much except deal with Ralph's turning invisible. Now, I will disagree with you on the bill. Ralph said he'd pay her back for the dinner. Yes, it does look odd to her parents when he doesn't show and she pays, but I have a feeling Pam played it off as Ralph had an emergency (and in a way did). Any parent with a sense of smarts knows that it sometimes happens. In this case, if her parent's didn't believe Pam, they wouldn't have accepted the invite to speak at Whitney High. I've also noticed a lot of blouses are see-through from that era, and you'd see the woman's bra. Too often that happens even today - on screen and in the world - if you choose the wrong color one to wear underneath. I need to see the scene myself, but hopefully Pam was dressed properly in all cases or there'd been some interesting questions I'd like to ask the censors given today's FCC hypersensitivity. The one thing I don't like about the episode is the obvious dubbing to hide Ralph's last name of Hinkley. Planes are that loud (at least at Hobby) but don't take off that many times in such as short timeframe.

Not to mention the fact that you can see June Lockhart's mouth forming the word "Hinkley".

I think that this was a good episode overall. We saw Pam in a family setting, having to deal with her parents, having to deal that Ralph is, well, not around. I liked the insight.
