Out of the current collections out, I'd like to get the first season of "The Wild, Wild West." I've got two of the stories on video, but I'd really like to the whole first season and for the extras. They have commentary by Robert Conrad, which should be rather interesting especially some of his talk about doing his own stunts.
I wish Martin were still alive, because he'd also give quite a bit of insight into the series as well. He'd be 86 now, (Conrad's in his 70s but still does quite a bit), but there was just so many intricacies in the character he played that I'd loved to have heard his commentary about some of the stories. He even was given an Emmy nod the final season (irony as he was out most of it due to a heart attack), and had I think 186 or so different characters he created (for disguises) in the series. When the movie came out and I saw Kevin Kline's performance, I was extremely disappointed. Kline ruined the character.
Barney Miller, I know had the first season released, but I'm not sure yet if I'll get it. I might get the second series (season) of "Campion" some day, but don't know yet.

THE LITTLES, a great cartoon that I would love to have again. Also, FATHER DOWLING MYSTERIES.

I don't know, as Today's Special is that it was filmed in Canada, so that might pose a problem. If it hasn't been released there, they might not release it in the US until they do. Now, if it was filmed there and released here only, then I don't know what it is. I'd love to have that series too, as I learned how to be a mannequinn from watching the show among the usual lessons they taught. Won a mall contest that way. The stores had a representative stand or sit in the window of their store and pretend to be won. We lucked out as the unit next to ours (I worked at a Claire's) was empty and we got permission for me to sit in there (our store's layout was bad for the contest). Sat as a dummy for an hour and a half, in one of those drawn up knee-Indian style sit (well... don't know what it's called) and rarely blinked. Fooled a lot of people into thinking I was one. Ended up winning the contest and $30 in mall certificates... which paid for some of my clothes for college. (Great... now I'm doing my anecdotes here too, but at least this one is related to the topic at hand, as Today's Special had a mannequinn who turned real with a magic word. )

Speaking of shows on specialized networks. This was either on MTV or Nick...for some reason, can't remember which. HI, HONEY, I'M HOME.

I remember this one because the family was a TV one from the 1950s, but had to colorize themselves in order to fit into the real world. Every so often, they'd turn off the color so they'd be more comfortable. It was actually a pretty good show, though it was shortlived. A couple of other shows I'd like to see on DVD: "Small Wonder" and "Out of This World." Liked both of those series as well.

Nick.
And Mel, I don't know that they've actually released Today's Special on DVD. I know they have VHS (I have one tape with two episodes). I would just think that they might do it sometime, as a lot of kids grew up watching it. And do you remember the magic words? *My mom does. . .but then again I drove her crazy with it!*

And do you remember the magic words? *My mom does. . .but then again I drove her crazy with it!* Sorry, should've clarified. With "Doctor Who," they release the episodes from the original seven Doctors about 3-6 months after the UK release (and the Eighth Doctor TV movie won't, as least yet, because of copyright problems). The first season of the 2005 restart took almost a year to release. And the magic words that brought Jeff to life: Hocus Pocus Alamadocus (yes, the last word I probably didn't spell right). I remember the plaid newsboy hat that brought him to life too. It was a fun show, and they even showed one story where he was frozen as a mannequinn to start the next day. After all, all the action took place late at night as Jodie I believe was a window dresser.

Well, yes, the d should be a g but that's beside the point. And yes, Jodie was a windowdresser. I once emailed the lady who did the puppeteering and the voice for Muffy (Nina Keogh). She actually e-mailed me back!!! She was very nice, and said she had some projects in the works (in the way of puppeteering). I'd like to be a puppeteer. . .if I knew my hands and arms wouldn't get so tired.

Well, I was close. Haven't seen that show almost as long as it took to see the battleship Texas again (and that was 18 years). There are several shows I'd love to see come out to DVD, but I don't think they'd be well-known enough to put out there, such as M.A.S.K., which has cars that change into souped up battle vehicles. The people also had these special masks that let them use special powers. I'd also like to see the "Ghostbusters" series with Jake, Eddie and Tracy (who's a gorilla) come out. It probably won't for a while as people will more than likely remember the one with Slimer over it first. Then there's "The Love Boat," with Gopher, et. al., and "The Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog." The first one was special to me as it's the second live action show I remember watching growing up (and Gopher's tied for my all-time favs with Ralph. I'd love to meet both Katt and Fred Grandy someday.) The second one, it was a fantastic kids show that any age could get into (I was a sophomore in college when it first aired). It was highly acclaimed on Fox, even the top rated kid's show, but unfortunately there were some who felt it was too violent ( ) and it was pulled. It finished up nicely, but there was so much potential for the new bad guy and Rowan's half brother that I was sorely disappointed to find out that it was pulled.

Yeah. It was the show I wrote my first script for... in the third grade. From what I remember of it, it wasn't the best in the world, but it was fun. I liked Scared Stiff, Braterat and Prime Evil as far as the bad guys and when they were zapped, they only had their eyes showing. Remembering Tir Na Nog again, I wonder why they didn't try to bring it back. It was much better than the Power Rangers episodes of the time, and that series is now in it's 13th year or so (I think I was a freshman in HS, and that was back in 1993-1994) It's only succeeding right now because they change the cast every year (though I like the current one, Mystic Force.)

I might get THAT GIRL, if our own That Girl would get off her duff and tell me if it is worth the purchase...because I am sure she bought it.
