LOL. . .I tried watching an episode the other day (the newer Dr. Who) and it freaked me out, and then I saw clips from the old one, and THAT freaked me out. . .it's a very weird show with very weird music. . .

I have never seen it. I hear it was a precursor to QUANTUM LEAP which I liked. I don't know if I could get involved in this...especially since I like to watch from the beginning and some of these shows may never see daylight again.

Oh, gosh, (and HD's going to kill me (figuratively) for this, but this is also one of my favorite shows. I'm assuming you watched one of the ones with the Daleks, as they're probably the scariest of the creatures (yes, even I'm creeped out with what the sink plungers can do now. ) And, if not, if you can tell me a little bit about it (same with the old run, as I've seen at least two of each Doctor's serials (well, take that back, McGann, Eighth, only had the movie, but I've seen it too.) I'll try to tell you what episode it's from. And, if you can describe the Doctor from the older one, I can tell you who it was (Yes... I'm sort of a Whovian here, but I do know a few things about the show. The Audios are great to listen to on long drives to vacations or to towns.) Out of the original doctors, I liked Jon Pertwee (third Doctor) the best. Most people remember Tom Baker (Fourth) because he was the one who wore the long scarf. Pertwee was the first Doctor I watched, so he's my favorite. Peter Davidson (Fifth), Colin Baker (Sixth and a shock for some when I say him) and Sylvester McCoy (seventh) round out my top four favorites. T. Baker is actually one of my least favorites. I haven't seen enough of the new episodes of "Doctor Who," but I didn't like Eccleston's portrayal. Rose, Played by Billie Piper, is a good companion though (my favorites are Zoe, Jamie, Jo, Sarah Jane, and Harry Sullivan though). I haven't seen any of Tennants, so I can't comment on his portrayal. Until the new series was launched, you could get the show all the time on PBS. Now, you can get them on DVD or videotape (which, if you do the latter, is only $5 on Amazon.)

It was one of the newer episodes, I believe, and it was where the old lady had died, and she came back to life as a zombie, she choked her grandson and got up out of the coffin. Her eyes glowed and her mouth was opened. . .*shudder* like I said, freaked me OUT. . . ;D

Also, other than "GAH," "Doctor Who" is the earliest show I remember a certain episode from. Unfortunately, the episode, "The Horns of Nimon," is in my opinion a load of tripe. By far my least favorite episode because there's nothing to really move it forward. My other least favorite "Death of the Daleks," at least has a couple of fun parts in it such as watching the Daleks get frozen in liquid ice, something they can't get out of easily. "Nimon..." I remember because of one dumb line. After the guy zaps the Nimon chasing Romana (this is a fourth Doctor episode, she's his companion at the time), she asks if they're dead, but he says "No, but they will be unconscious for a while." I also remembered the scene with her talking to the old man about the zapper, which has one of the universe's largest diamonds. I also remember watching a last season Pertwee one, but I'm not sure of it. I think it's the Curse of Peladon though, based on a certain scene again.

It's probably the only one I've been able to see all the way through (got a lucky lunch break that week). It was scary, but fun as they had Charles D ickens in it as well. (Why does it have to always mod that? He's a writer... famous writer not some sort of euphemism for private parts. ) "Caves of Androzani," the Fifth Doctor's swansong, for me is also one of the scariest because it looks by all appearances that both the Doctor and companion (then Peri) would die. (Won't spoil it unless asked. It's very good though is why).

Nope. Miss D used it as a testing ground for something and then deleted it. Geez, MelMac, I am surprised at you and your belief in the SPOOKY. Besides, either of us COULD have bumped it to the top.

Yes, but you're the mods with all the infinite power, sorta like the Doctor. I'm just the lowly companion who's always asking: What's this do? (Not to mention at the time of that post I really wasn't myself. Slept 9 hours straight last night, and feel great. Which is good as I have the PM shift at Six Flags today and have to turn in apps). Found out they are going to release the new series in vanilla collections too, just in November. They have 3 episodes per disk only. For me, that's fine as I don't watch too many of the extras, save a few of the blooper reels and other easter eggs such as test opening credits. There are only six I really liked the concept of reading the scripts, so I'll probably just get those two sets. And, there's are two classic Doctor Who episodes I'd like to get when they come out, so I'm going to save up my pennies for my once in a blue moon treat there too.

Now, just thought of this, since the Doctor has a Tardis and it travels through time and space... where would you like to go? I know that changing one thing in the past could alter the future, but as Doctor Who works around it, we can to. So... where would you travel if you got to ride in the Tardis with the Doctor. Or... if you want to be the power-crazed Master (yes, the name of his nemesis), where would you steal the Tardis and send it to?

Well, be careful or you'll end up like Adam and get dropped back in your own time with a device that will open up to show your mind (literally) with the click of fingers. (I've only seen pics, but I have to admit it was creepy ). Me, I'd have the Doctor take me to a place such as the Alamo where I could see what really happened to the defenders. I tend to believe that they fought and died for our freedoms regardless if they were executed, but people nowadays keep trying to paint the defenderes in a bad light. Gets worse with the battle of San Jacinto (I want you to know I a lot of my friends are of Hispanic background. I'm getting tired of people trying to change history.) Or, of course the travels through space are fantastic too.

In one instance I'd go back to tell Bill Bixby to get checked when the pain first started in his leg. . .he might still be around if he'd taken better care of himself, in which case there would have been a FOURTH Hulk TV movie after "Death" where he would come back to life. . .
